Toilet flush buttons typically come in 2 types. Single flush or dual flush toilet buttons, depending on the model of your flushing valve or cistern. With society being more eco minded as well as the raise in cost of living being water saving is at the forefront of consumers minds to keep their bills and water waste kept down.
Measurements
Another thing to consider is the size of the hole in your cistern for the button, typically these are between 40mm to 60mm. Make sure to have accurate measurements to determine the correct button you need.
What is a dual flush button?

A dual flush button consists of a pair of buttons designed to flush varying amounts of water. Its primary objective is to promote water conservation. Typically, users can choose the smaller flush option when a full flush is unnecessary, enabling them to have control over water wastage. The smaller button, also known as the half flush, releases a reduced volume of water compared to the larger button, which is known as the full flush.

What is a single flush button?
Commonly observed in older and traditional toilet cisterns, a single flush toilet is comprised of a sole button that releases
a consistent amount of water with each press. It should be noted that a single flush valve has the potential to consume approximately 12 litres of water per flush.
What is a pneumatic flush button?
A pneumatic button, also referred to as an air-operated button, is an advanced and highly efficient type of mechanical flush button. When this button is pressed, the attached cable pulls up the flush valve, causing the water to be forcefully expelled from the cistern into the toilet bowl, and subsequently, the valve returns to its original position. It is important to note that a pneumatic push button can be easily installed as long as the pneumatic tubes remain connected to the outlet valve.
What is a cable operated button?
A cable operated push button allows it to be positioned on the front, top or side of the toilet cistern.
Are all flushing valves compatible with single and dual flush buttons?
Older cisterns often have valves that require a single flush button. TYDE supply both single and dual flush buttons to fit the compatible cistern.
